  • Product Description

BIT Thixotropic Epoxy Adhesive 1-1 is a solvent free general purpose building adhesive which has a thixotropic mixed consistency & it is designed therefore largely for vertical & overhead applications and is offered as an extremely powerful structural adhesive with a high chemical resistance. The resins are supplied unpigmented in an off-white shade, and can easily be pigmented by the user, with the use of iron oxide pigments. This system will bond virtually any material except plastic and rubber constituents, and will cure at temperatures down to +5?C, and on wet surfaces.

  • Key Features
  • Can be used to bond virtually any material.
  • Suitable for Horizontal, Vertical or Overhead applications.
  • Cures at temperatures as low as +5?C.
  • Excellent Chemical Resistance.
  • Supplied un-pigemented ready for self colouring.
  • Excellent adhesion even in wet conditions.
  • Available Sizes
  • 10kg Unit including 5kg Base & 5kg Activator
  • 60 Units per pallet
  • Application

Prior to application all substrates must be sound, clean and free from surface water. smooth or coated surfaces should be abraded or scored before bonding. Mix the base and an activator component thoroughly together until an even colour and consistency is achieved. Mixing is best carried out on a smooth clean board using a wide bladed scraper. Apply by trowel, spatula or scraper with a minimum thickness of 1mm. On damp surfaces work well into the substrate and ensure bonding takes place while the adhesive is still mobile and tacky. The components should be supported during curing to eliminate potential slippage.
